Considering upgrading my jku to a gladiator with the diesel engine. Any experience with that engine?

No, not a single person here has any experience with the diesel engine.

There are also zero diesel threads on the very first page of this General section.

Nor is there an entire section dedicated to the diesel powertrain.

I just purchased a JTRD in late November 2021. The diesel enticed me having because I had a great experience with the 3.0 in a Grand Cherokee. Even though it’s a previous generation, it ran flawlessly, provided great fuel mileage (~27 avg.), and towed like a beast. Tires were the only thing I purchased during my ownership, aside from scheduled maintenance and fuel. My only complaint was how small the DEF tank was, felt like I was always filling it up.

IRT my current JTRD, I am not a race car driver or a light to light driver either but I greatly appreciate the torque. Moves my 37s no problem on the stock 3.73 gearing.
