Any medical student - ID if nerve runs this direction?

Not looking for medical advice or diagnosis - just wondering about something on my arm.
Is there a nerve or nerve bundle that runs in the path shown where I've got a line of raised spots - itchy, rough.
Started a bit over a week ago, small spots, then grew along a straight line (well, sort of straight) up and down my arm. There's another sort of parallel line closer to the inside of my arm, similar but shorter.

Oddly when things like this happen, it's always just ONE side of my body.
I have an idea based on past weird stuff, and it would fit if there's nerve bundles in these two areas.

I suggest just getting your local medical provider to look at it. There is a ton skin conditions and rashes related to a myriad of things from Diabetes and auto immunize related disorders.

My sister is a physical therapist assistant and says there is a nerve that runs there.

Three nerves run through the elbow, to your fingers. Ulnar, radian, and median are what they're called.

Showed her the pic and she said "could be shingles".

Yup - knowing there's a nerve there pretty much matches other thoughts I had.
Like the doctor told me years ago - a vaccine doesn't mean never, just means reduced chances and/or reduced severity.
I was diagnosed with "internal shingles" a couple of years back when I talked to doctors about my hair hurting but only on one half of my scalp (normally right half), and when my face hurt or went numb but only on one side (normally right side of my face feels tingly or numb).

When I saw this was starting and following a straight line, then another line on the other part of my arm, I figured - it's following a nerve - I THINK - but wanted to confirm and that's how a doctor said that it may present itself.

I knew it was in my system and could present itself in some new weird way. Until now, all signs have been internal, not dermal at all. This is the first outward appearance.
The scary part is that internal shingles can be be debilitating. There's a certain Senator who I have heard a rumor has internal shingles impacting the brain.

My wife is going to urgent care on Tuesday as she knows our normal doctor is on staff there on Tuesdays - she usually likes me to go with (her legs have been just simply giving out and dropping her to the floor)
So I'll just sort of point to my arm when we're in there but I suspect I know what he's going to say..............
OTOH, I do plan on seeing him for another reason later anyway - suspect hypoglycemia like my youngest son has (according to what I'm told since communications with him are difficult and complex and normally come through my oldest son when he leaves the country.)

Getting old is hell but the alternative isn't great, either.

At a top level, look up dermatome ... I am attaching one image here, but several together will paint the picture for you. The short version is that for nerves that exit from the spine, this is how they are distributed based off of the level that they leave the spine.

For the next level of detail, look up brachial plexus (think more and more detailed wiring diagrams)

And I think that may help explain itching on the inner leg on the right side as well although it doesn't present itself like my arm.

She said shingles will attack dermatomes and nerves.

Whatever the case may be i hope you get it checked out by a professional and that everything goes well.

That looks like shingles. My wife had shingles and it looked just like what you have on your arm.

Well it makes sense that it's following lines, then, just wish those stupid drug companies wouldn't be allowed to advertise as they do and suggest 'we prevent' when no, you MAY prevent.......... maybe.

3 different doctors had my wife on meds for her heart situation only to be told later the meds (two different ones over the years) couldn't have possibly made any difference. Luckily she had a bad episode while we were in the Cleveland area for a car show, and when we got back a neighbor gave us a name of a doctor here and told the people we'd see no one else. He resolved the situation with NO meds and a simple surgical procedure. 20 years, multiple doctors, several trips to the ER and wasted meds.
I went through 3 different ENTs all who said there was not a thing wrong with my sinuses. I pointed out our family history - nope, nothing wrong. Last attack a few years ago I told the urgent care doctor NO, when she said she was going to send me to an ENT. She sent me to one out of their network. First visit they said "has anyone ever suggested............" nope. Gee, no wonder you have problems, look at this scan. Surgery corrected a few things and years of allergy shots. MUCH better!

Medicine here is ruled, and I mean that literally, by two major corporations - and both will run doctors out of business who don't comply with their demands. An ARNP (is that correct?) told me that Mercy ordered them to see 18 people a day and spend 5 minutes with each. She eventually quit and I was left with nowhere to go for severe ADHD. I have to live with TD because doctors don't believe it exists.

Went in today - sounds like the arm could be 2 or 3 things. Shingles came up. Our own doc usually works urgent care on Tuesdays but he's off this week so saw a nice PA who seemed to know her stuff She was concerned about my arm feeling hot - and the skin getting thin in that area. She's having a test run on a swab to determine if it's shingles nor not.
I can't recall what she said the other possibility was or possibilities were.
Sounds like the results should be in in a couple of days, by the end of the week.
That whole long area is turning into something like scar tissue and it pulls and hurts to bend the arm.

The lab results came back - it is NOT shingles.
Crap, I was hoping it was because they have anti-virals that can be used against it now.
But we're back to square one- no idea what it is. But the lab results say "not shingles.
The skin has gotten thin and almost like scar tissue and uncomfortable when bending arm. It's out of the "getting worse" stage but not getting better, either. At least it's not spreading.

Just had my wife who has worked for over two decades as a home health RN in the past look at your pics. Her first response before she read anything was Shingles. Once I told her you tested negative for shingles and had her read your other responses, she suggest you actually see a dermatologist specialist and that a "punch biopsy" of the affected area would drill down on actually what that is.
