Ok initial thoughts is I would not recommend.
I love how the front fold flat, but other than it being flat it seems about the same as the besttop sunrider. It is easy to open and close from the driver seat.
the instructions say to install it in at least 72° and they aren’t lying, I would say let it closer to 80 if you can wait. I got it on, but will have to wait for it to stretch out to get it all lined up properly. I put a heater in the back seat for a while just to get the back corners on.
the back part of the top definitely is not made to fold up, but it seems like it will and still be easier than taking the hard top off.I think the intention is for the window and corners to fold up into this little top pocket where the straps are in the one pic. It’s not made to easily come all the way off.
it seems built well, but I didn’t even have a chance to drive with it yet. When it gets warmer and stretched a little more I will try to fold the back up and see how that works. I will also get more pics and maybe some videos in the next couple of days.
the visor thing really irritates me.

Honestly I think I’m just disappointed with the back part of it, once the weather gets warmer and I see what I can do with it I may love it. They definitely need to do something about the latches, the instructions, and their pics/vids/descriptions on the web site.
also If I didn’t just struggle with the back getting it stretched(which is my fault for doing it in colder than recommended weather)and I wasn’t sick I may feel better about it.

also it looks like one of my kids got sweat marks on my back seat!

Nice immediate review!!! Seems like all plastic windows are wavy-gravy!!! Do you have a pic of the entire jeep with it on? How do you think it will be as far as waterproof with doors on, as well as working with doors off???

Also- I understand the kids in the back, but at least mine don't sweat like a pig, just leave the back seat a pig-sty

Not very good ones…
I’ll try to get more tomorrow.
I think the window will smooth out when it gets warmer, everything seemed to be sealed up pretty well, I don’t think it will leak

The windows on the JLU were wavy at first as well. They did smooth out with time and heat.

Yep I will definitely get some more and better pics. Was getting dark tonight, here’s another crop from the ring cam, tried to crop out all the crap too, I was cleaning out my garage today too.

Thanks for what you have shown so far! Looking forward to any more pics, videos you can post. Also, please share if/when you able to figure out about opening the back portion.

With the JLU, I remove the rear window, undo the straps in the back, and remove the plastic slip fit connectors on the rear corners.
Then I fold it halfway to the soundbar, fold it again, and it lays right on top of soundbar. Flip the front back and lock it in place with the metal clip and it holds well.
I’m sure with the weather starting to break, the wife will be “asking” me to put it back on soon. I’ll post pics of how hers works once it’s back on so folks can compare.

Cool thanks! That’s kind of what I figured I would try, I also bought some straps with buckles to wrap around in case I thought it was necessary. I was really just going in blind here.

Understandable. There wasn’t a lot of info out on the JLU version either so I learned by trial and error.

As someone who was impatient, I went for it today too. It was like 68 today. I second all of what you said, wait til warmer weather. I’m hoping the fit and finish is a little better after it gets stretched out. I took off that front header bracket, the latch seemed to fit better. I think the door surrounds went together decent, definitely make sure your brackets are in the correct locations(fronts and rears).

Just like what’s been said all along, the instructions are less than mediocre. Better/more images of some of the instructions would be a huge help.

I’m really hoping I love this top once consistent warm weather rolls around. I’m leery though, it reminds me of my old JKU soft top that leaked like a sieve. I hope my gut feelings are wrong. I’ll take some photos tomorrow.

The bracket portion of the instructions were pretty good and they were easy. Everything after that was just bad, and some of them I felt like were wrangler top instructions that they didn’t alter for the gladdy. Also did you get the retention strap? I looked for like 30 minutes for it and don’t have it.
I also asked about the latches on their website q&a so we’ll see if they have a response.
With the bracket off does the mirror cover still smack into the latch when you close the visor?

Yea it came with only one retention “strap”. It’s more of a clip. Edit: directions only say it comes with one. Mine was in a baggie by itself free in one of the boxes. As for the mirror cover, I didn’t notice anything. But I plan on messing with it more tomorrow.
