Anybody try the Renegade Tonneau cover on their JT?

So I have been on the fence about a bed cover for a while now. The problem is that I want the durability of a hard cover, but still want the capability of putting a rack on it. I was eyeing the Diamondback HD cover, but the lack of rack options for it has kept me from pulling the trigger on it. Today though, while watching a YouTube Video on one of the tents from 23 Zero, they also made mention of the the bed cover and rack they have, both made by Renegade covers (as well as a bed pull-out kitchen from NutHouse that I would love, but it made my wallet scream in agony). I was keenly interested in the fact it has an integrated L-Track on the cover, but also that it is much lower-profile than the Diamondback cover is.

Has anyone had any experience with this cover and/or rack, or the company themselves? Most of the videos I have found on the cover and rack (one of which is a direct comparison to the Diamondback HD) are pretty recent, so I'm not sure if this is a new product or whatnot.

It is there in the model list for the cover, although the rack doesnt have it listed specifically. It appears the rack is just a standard length/width and has a few options in height.

I was SERIOUSLY looking at it as well but went with the Rugged Ridge Armis Hard Folding for two reasons.

First, I wanted a cover NOW because I live in Seattle and if you know anything about Seattle right now the homeless people are f*cking everything up and stealing everythingggg. So after I emailed Renegade about their cover they said it was a 15-week turnaround currently, which I wasn't about to wait almost 4 months for it.

Second, the price is crazyyyyy!! I get it is probably top quality but $3k for a cover WITHOUT a rack is in the same ballpark as the RSI Smartcap (also have a crazy long waitlist) but might be the way to go for you because you can throw a rack on top of that. ARE also has a solid cap with a rack option on top as well that is cheaper if savings is a top priorty.

Overall I think it would be wise to just throw a smidge extra money at it and get a Smartcap ORRR save a couple thousand and get a hardcover that you can take out quickly anytime you need the full bed.

I looked at both and eventually chose Diamondback. I couldn’t be happier. The covers quality is second to none, and their customer service is incredibly good. Diamondback is far more popular…..and there is a reason.
There are also a lot of diffeeent rack options for the Diamondback. I chose their front runner option and it’s been exactly what we need
