So I just ordered a Sarge Green JTO through the company car program and I was supposed to pick it up on March 16th, now it's been pushed back at least two weeks. Why did it get pushed back? Good old damage in transit - there's a big old scratch on the driver's side of the bed above the left rear fender. Nobody knows how it happened, other than the fact that it occurred after it rolled off the assembly line.

Anyone else have their order get delayed due to a damage in transit incident?

that happened to me once too on one that I bought, I just made the dealer make it right by getting it fixed.

My wife and I were heading along I80 and in the left lane to our left was a transport truck loaded with new cars. In the middle was a new Camaro bouncing up and down, up and down...... and we both looked in amazement as that truck passed us as the front of the car was smashed pretty good from bouncing up into the structure of the trailer. We looked at each other and wondered - maybe he can't hear it or doesn't see what's going on but he sure will when he gets to his destination! Those things sit really close in those transport trailers as it is, but to not have that thing locked down........... I've watched vehicles being loaded into and out of trailers of all sorts and it absolutely amazes me to no end that there aren't at least 25% of all vehicles showing some damage.

The guy that hauled my Javelin to the buyer in Texas had to unload a Cadillac Escalade from the trailer, then put my car in and drove the Escalade back in behind my car - and he had to crawl out the rear hatch to exit the car and it took him a bit to get it into the trailer as there were only a couple of inches on each side.
