So I’ve looked under the dash several times and have yet to spot the trailer brake control plug. I took the Gladiator to the Dealer today to check on a warning light. I asked the service rep about the TB controller and he told me that it needs to be activated, which costs about $125. Has anyone heard of that? I haven’t. He said the plug was up there, but was in a hurry and couldnt show me. I may go with the Curt Spectrum, but I need to find that plug. Any chance the factory didnt install it. I have a 2020 Rubicon with tow package built in November 2019.

Look for it to be taped up about and to the left of brake pedal. Next to fender in cab. I was having a fit trying to locate it myself the way mine was taped up, only the connector in taped. If you need more on it I can add a few photos of it and location.

The connector is hard to see. It is tucked against a wiring harness up high. There is no programming involved, just plug the brake controller harness to it. I used the Ram Curt harness, 15458 and swapped black and blue at the connector going to the Jeep.

Sounds like the service rep doesn't know what they're talking about. There is nothing to "activate", it's just literally hanging there waiting for something to plug into it.

The plug is way up above the drive side kick panel. Best to look under the dash on your back, might have to dislocate a couple of joints to contort yourself to actually reach it, but it's there. Make sure you get the right Curt Harness for the gladiator. They have a specific one that works.

I got the Curt Spectrum and really like how easy it was to install and place just about anywhere.

Not wanting to get on my back and maybe never get up again, lol, I used my wife's large hand mirror and a flashlight to look around up there.
