Anyone running the Stinger enclosure with AudioControl subwoofers?

Just wanted to see if anyone had experience with this enclosure. I am not an audiophile but I'd like a bit more thump from the "premium" sounds system. Thanks.

Did you give the Stinger fiberglass box loaded with the Audio Control SPK 8s a try?

It is down to the Alpine Halo or the Stingers for me. They are around the same price, but the Alpine with comes loaded with Type S or R woofers.

The stringer will probably give more bass because it downfires...
Edit, it looks like the Alpine downfires too... But it looks like the Alpine has square corners in the front. The stinger round corners might be nicer...

I just noticed JL makes a down firing duel 10" box for the Gladiator.

I have always used the awesome JL Stealthboxes, but I'm trying to keep the cost down. Both the Alpine and the Stinger are on sale right now. I want to go with the Stinger for the way that it mounts, the fiberglass box, and the higher sensitivity, but the Type R woofer doesn't disappoint. Decisions.
