Anyone running these and how do you like them? What alternatives are out there?

At some point, I've gotta get my tires unmounted so I can get rid of these stupid balancing beads in exchange for some traditional balancing weights. I figure when I do it, I might toss in some sort of rapid deflators. I came across the Apex valves and thought they seemed interesting.

Thoughts?

I think Apex makes nice stuff (I run their autolynx), but I don’t see the point of expensive quick deflate stems. I use a set of Staun’s deflators. Usually my first tire is deflated by the time I work my way around the truck. The reason I haven’t given much though about special stems is the cost, they are vulnerable to trail damage, it’s very easy to find a standard stem replacement if damaged, and what I mentioned about the Stauns. To each their own, but for me I just haven’t felt the need.

They’re awesome, highly recommend. 10 seconds to deflate a 35 from 32psi to 12psi. And I don’t have to grab any special tool to deflate. They are very precise when deflating, no tire gauge needed, I use my phone to time 10 seconds and it’s exactly where I want it. Unscrewing the valve cap is now the longest part about airing down. I would advise to buy spare rebuild kits and valve caps since they’re proprietary.

I installed a set on my kmc tanks since they came with 2 valve stem holes. I can concur with @Plywood. They are extremely fast and very repeatable. Not cheap, but a good set of deflators costs nearly as much and they take way longer.

Only a few cons that may or may not apply to you:
- They are rigid so if they aren't protected by something like a bead lock ring and you bash them on a rock you could have a really bad day.

- the threaded portion is really short so you have to use screw in chucks mostly as the single tooth clip on style won't hold securely.
