Well I left them a phone message with no response and an email that got an automated response. Looks like they are still in business but I would appreciate some type of live response from them. When I have some time in the next few weeks I will attempt to contact them again. Wait and see at this point. I honestly figured that even though it said 8-10 week lead time when I ordered it would be 4-6 months.
They aren’t still in business.

It’s probably been a money grab for awhile now. You should probably start the credit dispute process, but you do you.

Here is a Reddit thread on the topic:

It’s over guys. It may have been a legit business but something happened and it became a fraud and scam. I have multiple lines of investigation into getting my money back. Credit card of course, BBB and a western based commercial legal team. This company pissed off the wrong guy. I will spend $5K to try to recover $1K. It’s the principle now.

Ugggh I tried to call them yesterday to order steps, I guess that’s why their mailbox is full.

Best of luck to you, this dude has like 7 open cases against him. I would expect a bankruptcy filing in the near future if he hasn’t filed already.

Cases can be seen here: https://trellis.law/cases/"Archetyp...ate=va&state=wa&state=wi&county=&matter_type=

I know several people have also reported him to the FTC and the FBI internet crimes division (https://www.ic3.gov/). His most recent activity was convincing folks on the land rover defender forums and Ineos forums to buy products that never existed, likely knowing full well he would never fulfill the orders.

If you look up “Eightlug” (his username) on the Bronco6g forums, you’ll see that this guy has always been a bit of a turd.

Just put a claim in with my credit card now begins the search again for a step that won't rust

Got my money back! Bank contacted me and confirmed my account is being credited for the full amount of what Archtype originally charged me.

For anyone defrauded by Archetype, definitely file a dispute with your credit card provider.
