Sport S - also first blast of real cold/snow/ice/salt here this last week and also heard creaking when off camber. It seems to be coming from rear.

Got home and bounced truck corners - couldn’t reproduce.

Never heard this sound before and nothing has changed. I’m assuming it was the cold?

Rubicon springs under the FRONT of my Overland - no odd sounds. Are the springs seated properly?
If you swapped rear springs did those bloody hard to keep in place top isolators stay in place when you put the springs in?

I’m thinking it’s the isolators...I’m going to inspect tomorrow. It’s just so damn cold in michigan right now.

I retorqued all of my control arms in the rear…it still makes the noise but only with certain bumps. It’s odd.

Oh, yeah. Not that far from you - have some of that cold here, too. Probably worse north of us.
When I swapped springs those danged upper isolators on the back springs were a pain in the butt. Keeping them in place was the hardest part and keeping those nipples up in the holes - ugh.

I know for a fact they were seated properly when i installed them, but anything could’ve happened from august until now. I’m going to feel for the nipple tomorrow and make sure they’re in the hole. Gigitty

Wasn't sure if we'd get banned for saying nipple here or not............ HA

I've recently noticed this also with significant temperature drops. Turns, starting and stoping, creaking rear driver's side. JTR stock suspension 9000kms. Tomorrow is supposed to be a lot warmer. Will test 'cold' theory.

UPDATE: definitely less noisy the last couple of days which have been above or hovering around freezing. Hear creaking on bumps and stops within the first few minutes of drive, then disappears.

Swapped out my suspension with the Clayton 2.5” overland + kit, and I’m still getting the creak noise in the rear, so it could still just be the nature of the suspension in colder temps, or something else down there that doesn’t like the cold…I came to the conclusion that it’s normal, so some peace of mind lol

It's not the nature - if there's a squeak, it's not normal. You did a large lift so I assume you had everything apart and totally re-torqued everything with the truck sitting on the ground on all 4 tires and not up in the air?
Did you torque all control arms, track bar, shocks and any other part associated with the suspension? (and I don't mean "yeah, it's tight" as that's wrong - I mean properly torqued to specs using a torque wrench).
A squeak is saying something isn't right. I'd never put up with a squeak in suspension as that means parts rubbing and/or loose or touching where they should not touch. Squeaks are often things moving that should not move leading to premature wear.

I've not seen any number of others saying their truck squeaks - having no squeak is normal, squeak is not normal.

People running stock suspension, who posted in this thread, also said they have a creak in colder temperatures. When the temperatures are above freezing and/or warmer there is no creak. I can deduce based on a brand new suspension installed that temperature is the culprit or it is at least not suspension related.

Also, everything is torqued to spec (with a torque wrench). I’ll try to get some audio of it to see what ya think. What’s odd it is only on certain bumps.

I have a Gladiator HA and recently started hearing a creaking noise coming from the rear also. It started about a week ago and happens when driving over any kind of bumps. It sounds like it is the suspension/shocks. I’ll be taking it up to the Jeep dealership for them to look at along with a infotainment screen problem I have been having.

went in to the dealer today for an oil change and mentioned rear driver's side creaking noise. Mechanic indicated that it is the rear sway bar bushings. He lubed the bushing and there was no creaking noise on the way home. Dealer is ordering new bushings and will replace under warranty

i have a brand new front and rear sway bars. I still get the creak on occasion over certain large dips - I’m thinking it’s muffler related or just cold springs
