I'm adding some butyl (only butyl) over the next month or so. Are you referring to the trim pieces around the floor closest to the door?

This makes me second guess removing the trim...
The trim at the kick panels and door sills is different from all other FCA vehicles in how it is attached. It doesn't pull up to release the clips, it has to go straight towards the console to release the clips. After breaking the clips on one side, I found this out. If you do break a clip, you can repair or replace it and the repair will be fairly well hidden because of where the clips are.

Sounds like I may be skipping this part. Not sure if I have the time or enough curse words in my arsenal for this ?

Thank you!!

It isn't as hard as it sounds, just figuring it out was the worst part. As for cursing, I have been known to hire another guy in the shop to curse for me when doing really aggravating work in the shop. Saves me enough time to offset the 50 cents a word going rate for hiring a professional curser.

you could do that I guess, but you are going to need to remove some of it. especially towards the sides where your feet are by the door. YMMV

Hey guys, maybe its just me, but I have my trim pieces sitting securely and locked in place after the install. I would suggest seeing if some of your clips might not be seating properly in the trim piece.

If you noticed in my list of tools, there were two really important ones:

Brute Force
Ignorance

When my back trim pieces were not seating properly, a couple of well placed, sufficiently ridiculous smashes with a fist seemed to do the trick. :CWL:

I can’t get the rear door sill trim pieces to sit flush after installing the Armorlite. Any tricks?
