Just picked up a '26 JT Mojave. As I worked through changing settings to my preference, I found that Auto Door Lock is missing from the menu. Auto Door Unlock is there. I really, really dislike this feature and need to make it go away. I tried cycling the ignition four times then pressing the lock button, but no joy.

The auto lock feature cannot be altered via the settings menu. It probably can via jscan or a similar aftermarket product, others can chime in to verify.

I should have been more clear. The feature I am referring to is the doors automatically locking when you begin driving. My bad.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess they do not want the liability if someone believes they can get out at over 15 mph or get in an accident and the door opens if locking it makes any difference. You can always take the doors off and add some mirrors that will defeat the auto lock. I wonder what the dealer would charge if they would actually do it and you signed off on it maybe an hour labor charge?

I am going to see if they will disable it for no charge. It is pretty ironic that a vehicle factory equipped to be operated without doors forces this feature.

The auto lock feature is a decent safety item, so in my opinion it makes perfect sense that the factory defaults it to on. Having the doors locked makes it far less likely for them to inadvertently open in the event of a crash. Speaking of which, if you were to have a wreck severe enough that any of the airbags deploy, your Jeep will then automatically unlock all the doors and turn on the interior lights and emergency flashers... so there's no real concern about being stuck locked in the wrecked vehicle either.

To me auto lock is a non-issue but I can understand it may irritate some. If you don't like them to automatically lock, you can either have the feature disabled or simply press the unlock button after the auto lock occurs (they won't keep relocking as you drive). YMMV
