Only 1800 miles, mpg will improve. For reference, I get 16 around town and 21 interstate at 70-72. 18.something overall. And that is with 35" tires.
Yes, mine did better after it crossed about 7,000 miles, it varies with driver and how it's been driven and other factors, but 1800 is a bit early to judge mpg on these.
Mine has gone downhill of course since I added the weight of the bumper and winch and put the A/T tires on vs the H/T tires.

the auto stick function on all automatics lets one choose their gears without the use of a clutch... a very enjoyable feature IMO...
