i am one of those types that doesnt like to have to tell people or things what to do i just want it done lol.
my house is managed by a few computer system and pretty much runs itself .... lighting water gas heat all automated based on events

so this leads me to my gladiator
i did some frugal face book market place finds and managed to grab a go rhino 2.0 actuated light bar for about 500 dollars. since another facebook find landed me a light bar for the front and dv8 mounts i had to find a purpose for the rear. i also needed to correct a problem with the glare from the license plate lights.
i considered using a rasperry pi right some routines maybe having a cool touch panel but its a car i dont need any extra ways for it to fail

so i decided analog old school relays was the way to go

(pictured is the bottom of the relay system that sits behind the drivers side rear seat

so i put all this together.... the actuator actually required a double throw double pull relay. the license plates are wired to a normally closed relay. the light bar a normally open.... all three are triggered by my aux 3 switch or the car going into reverse. i did add a killl switch to that trigger if i am at the drive in or cops lol

(picture of were the relay system will reside)

why did i choose the rear seat for this?
well alot of what i am doing is in the rear
also its actually not that easy to run a wire up to the battery area as the amount of heat that resides in that area.

i got a trailler harness from amazon that gives me a break off of the wires. i ran that to my relay distribution panel. i ran this along the passenger side rear and up through a drainn plug in the floor its right above the gas tank
the power comes from the battery i added a circuit breaker. then lead the wire accross the cowl loom and throuh the grommet next to the break boaster.

i want to add lights under the truck that trigger with aux2 or when the trucks welcome lights come on

at this point i am getting ready to mount the sports rack and the light bar
