I have the smaller display (7 inch) on my JT Rubi and this morning when I went to back up the display had a bunch of green lines on it (see photo). Called the dealer, scheduled a service to check it out, and figured might as well have them do the manual transmission clutch TSB at the same time.

I figured the backup camera might be a software hiccup so turned the Jeep off, restarted, problem still exists.

Appointment is scheduled for a few days from now.

Got back into the Jeep after work and the camera is working fine again.

When I first heard about federally mandated backup cameras I grumbled, but after using one, I love it. Great safety feature, and makes hooking up the trailer super easy, and much less painful than trying to turn my head around to see out the rear window. Which, on a Jeep, doesn't offer a whole lot of visibility to begin with.

Mine does similar effects from time to time. Usually after I've had the tailgate open...
I check the connections at the bed and they were clean and undamaged but haven't gone into the tailgate yet...

I'll mention it at my next oil change(or when I have the steering box tsb done) but it's so infrequent it's not too much of a worry

Thanks for the tip on the connections. And the reminder on the steering box TSB - I'll give them a call and see if they can do that as well. I'm guessing they won't have the parts ready but can't hurt to ask.
