base Sport- locking the tailgate

I had to gut my garage to get mine to fit too. Lol

It's been 3 weeks, and I can only park one car. No time to clear the clutter. But hey, I found the time to install new accessories to my new G! Hahaha.

I don't want to mess with it right now since it's still under warranty for another 35, 800 miles. LOL. Yes, manual d and w. Got an appt in February and they will provide free car rental.

Ugh! I received a call today. Dealer cancelled my appt this Monday. Otherwise they have to keep the truck for a week just todiagnose, to find out what happened and to try to fix it. So they rescheduled for another 3 weeks!
I want to secure ( not 100%, I know)my tailgate so I bought a McGard tailgate lock. I hope it fits. I should receive it tomorrow. Has anybody used similar device??

Well, the McGard fits. It's just an expensive hose clamp with a lock. I guess better than nothing right now.

Six weeks of waiting.. and 2 days after I dropped of the G, finally the tailgate is fixed. The lock lever was missing from the factory! Man, I wonder what else they missed. They ordered a door control unit ($19 part) from another dealership and got it same day.
