So wondering if any of you out there have used the Sunrider as sort of a Bimini shade cover for the front seats only in conjunction with having the hardtop removed? I was thinking about just buying the new Bestop safari top, or the Mopar option as I love running top less and door-less all summer here in Michigan. But I love the convenience of the sunrider to have the sun/rain coverage when needed. I know it bolts into the hardtop and is "supposed" to be used with it in place, but its only a couple bolts in the middle.

How much of pain is it to remove the safari tops for those who've installed them? Any input or suggestions are welcome!

It seems like it COULD work.... Although I think it would function better in the closed position, the open position might be a little funky. I'm in Alabama and shade is a must. I picked up the bestop extended bikini top. It's inexpensive and does it's job- but I would not call it convenient to take on and off. It requires 4 bolts at the front. I miss the old days of bikini tops- the top would slide into a track so you could take it on and off without tools.
