in this weekend. I also have all the aluminum panels cut and ready to install. Still working on what type of battery I will be using. I am hoping to go with lithium ion if I can source one at a reasonable price.
Dude! EPIC!

to be honest at first I thought these were a bunch of metal "teeth" to like shread birds or somthing, lmao, now i see its just a light bar.

EDIT: I know somewhere in this thread you discussed wanting to keep costs down, and while that's totally awesome, I think you've got some unique and awesome design ideas that even if the costs CAN'T be kept down, you can be successful. I just hope for your sake, more than just the Hard Core Gladiator Followers are interested (Hard Core in Obsession, not necessarily level of off-roading done).

EDIT: EDIT: (is that like P.S.S?
I forgot this is modular, so your design can transcend to many other vehicles.

The design is modular. The lights bolted up with no drilling. This is designed to be very compact and modular. I have fit it on all the different jeeps I own. cj, tj, lj, Liberty It even fits my wifes jeep patriot. Ralph came by with his Gladiator a few weeks ago which helped tremendously to get this fitted. This will fit a Taco very nicely as well. Its Low profile and aerodynamic and leaves the bed of the pickup completely open for whatever else you want. With everyone else on the bedrack kick I wanted something different. I will post more details. I did not want to post too much yet with SEMA is coming up. I will probably post a bunch more right before I leave for SEMA. Been working with a patent attorney so we will see how that goes.

Sometimes ideas can come from some of the most basic materials.

I get how the inflatable structures open up design possibilities. But all I can think about is all the awesome air mattresses I've dealt with that were great for about a year.....
Just don't see the longevity of it.

I was thinking about that too. Set up could be nice and easy with an onboard compressor. Push a button and instant tent, however failure would really suck out on a trail. Thats why I like throwing ideas out there. Also would the thing just become like one big balloon sitting up that high. could it even hold enough rigidity. Maybe a hybrid where just the tent walls could be filled. might work as a good insulation barrier and keeping the walls from flapping.
