I’ve read many swear by airing down before doing heavy rock areas off-road, but I finally tested it out after 2 years of Jeeping. Exponentially positive difference in ride quality climbing over rocky terrain. Aired down from 35 psi to 20 psi.

Finally calibrated and used Boulder Deflators. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M0L7JS2?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Had some nice straight aways with some dips that helped catch some air. It was awesome!

I air down anytime I'm going to be off pavement for any decent amount of time. The ride quality is just much better.

Imagine this. If you put a 2.4 in front of a tire at street pressure it will act as a wheel chalk. If you air down to 15-20 you can place it in neutral and push the vehicle over the 2x4. Airing down allows the tire to envelope small obstacles.

so...I wouldn't recommend airing down or airing down too far if you're type of offroad driving is "Catching Air". Speed breaks parts and an under inflated tire can either get cut by the rim or a rock much easier at speed not to mention de=beading a tire on a corner. Additionally, I definately wouldn't recommend "catching air" unless you've gotten rid of the front 3 piece axle. Based on the photos I've seen, the cast sleave isn't up to it.

Was able to finish 2 projects... finally got my toad hitch set up done and test fit. Fairly easy. Now just need a drop hitch to level out the hitch. Already ordered.

Then.... I love me some puddle/courtesy lights. I have them on other vehicles. I pulled power off the bed lights, so they come on and off with key fob.
