Broke down and ordered 2022 392 Rubicon XR

I've been waiting and waiting for some sort of announcement in regards to the JT and a 392. Alas, it ain't coming. Finally broke down and ordered a:

2022 Hydro Blue JLU 392 XR
-dual door package
-tow package
-trail camera
-floor mats
-headliner

It will be real interesting to see how it drives compared to my Mojave. The transmissions couldn't be more different. The engine couldn't be more different. The dash layout couldn't be more similar. lol

Ordered for 3% below invoice with no requirement to finance in writing.

haha no worries. From what I have seen from others, people that ordered and got great prices in 19 and 20 have been able to basically break even these days. Probably last, but it has been that way. (That's including the taxes you paid)

I gave it consideration, but the 392 easily won. I live in a half door/no door/roof off climate year round. In fact, my Mojave is doorless and roofless right now. lol The TRX is a great truck, but I don't need another truck. Before tax and tags with the XR and half doors, the price is $82k. A TRX with the options I would want would be more. I love the length and width of the wrangler platform. The TRX is only good for open trails that aren't the least bit narrow.

Congratulations! I just got my JT today, and I am also thinking of a 392 as a second vehicle. I asked my dealer to let me know if this ends up being the last year the 392 is available or if that will be 2023. They are great rigs and I am sure you will love it!

I just happened to order two days before they closed the books on the "XR" package for the 392. I had no crystal ball to see that they were gonna do that. I really am a "leave it mechanically stock" kinda guy when it comes to cars. I love warranties, so the XR package was a perfect fit for me. Even both my S2000's are bone stock, which is EXTREMELY rare in the Honda/S2000 world. haha

Will do. I dearly dearly wish they would have made a Mojave-style 392 JT. It would have been quite pricey, but so so soooooo worth it. I would have been there day one.

It is still available to order on the non-392 trims. They pulled it from the 392 order books sometime on the weekend of the 12/13th.
