This looks like an interesting solution
for mounting cell phones
and other ball mount accessories.

I bought one for my '21 Rubicon.

Installation is a breeze.

Bulletpoint provides
the appropriate hex wrench for the job.
The wiring tucks neatly away.

I added the
Carbon Fiber/Kevlar Hybrid Mount Arm with 17mm Ball - Compatible with my Nuvi GPS

In Texas, it is legal to have accessories
attached to the windshield
if they are not in the line of sight.
I would rather not leave that
to the discretion of Dudley Do-Right.

The Rubigrid was tempting
but I am reluctant to leave my toys
in sight of potential miscreants,
which was also my objection
to my old suction cup mount.
The grab Bar Mount keeps temptation
below the greenhouse belt line.
Out of sight, out of mind.

Have not taken a shakedown cruise yet
but I think it's going to be great.

Thats a good idea! Is that the 8” or 10”? I have the 8” and that may work very well for me. I’ve had it up on the 67 designs mount and while it works perfectly fine I would like to move it a bit further down. This may make it feel more like a proper cockpit.

It’s the larger Overland XL version. There’s some hardware behind it to adjust the final position. I mix and match Bulletpoint and 67d.

Question for you. Do you use iOS or android. I’m having issues with iOS. I have a Garmin support ticket open for over a year!

Im an iOS guy but haven’t even used it on the Garmin yet. It’s fairly new. Only been on an actual trail once but have run it in the Jeep a few times to get used to it. Next step for me is trying to download some files to it of some already plotted trails. I mostly just use it to find my way back to civilization. I figure between this and a lensatic compass I’ll stay alive.
