would love to hear form those who have them. On paper here are the specs:
KC Flex Era 4 Combo: 161,000 candela CRAZY!, 80 watts, $574
DD SS5 Sport: 81,600 candela, 40 watts, $440 a pair

What would you like to know? They're both hot sellers. Won't be disappointed in either.

Hey Josh! Wondering if the KCs are significantly brighter I. The combo beam than the SS5 combo?

if you were to choose one which would you go with ?

Have no personal experience with those two. Lighting is very hard to compare on paper, the numbers don’t tell whole story even if they’re accurate!
I have SS3 and really like using them for fog lights because the lenses have sharp cutoffs. But I wouldn’t use them out in the desert.
KC looks bad on paper for their other lights but I think are comparable because of good light spread… having said that, when the flex 4 came out they looked killer. Watch Jeep Generation videos, they look incredible.
You also should cross shop with a Baja designs LP4 or LP6.

IMO KC hands down for quality lights but your needs will determine what you need. Brighter is meaningless if the light isn't where you need it.
