Canopy camper on Mojave - new rear springs?

Ordered a Lone Peak Overland pop-up camper for my Mojave. Has anybody put a similar, relatively light weight camper on the Mojave? If so, did you replace the rear springs to help with the additional weight?

Lone Peak looks to be about the same weight as the relatively common Go Fast Camper, so maybe start your search there

With the Alu-Cab like I’ve got, minimal build-outs like mine are fine with standard upgraded springs like Clayton HD rear (that’s what I have, totally sufficient). Others with every kind of bolt on accessory, awnings and shower, full plywood interior buildout, propane and water pressure and heater and quad batteries etc - those guys I see with Dobinson ultra HD springs, Ram 1500 springs, airbags, etc.

I did run my Alu-Cab (mostly empty, literally zero options at install) on the stock suspension for a while before I got the full suspension in. It's not good. I wouldn't quite say it's strictly unsafe to drive like that, but it sags and wallows and you need to be expecting a lot of movement on big dips. That wallowing in the middle of a high-speed turn is the worst. The stock suspensions on these rigs are undersprung and underdamped as shipped, and not well equipped to run anywhere near GWVR.

Question for you then is what you plan to do with it and how much stuff you’re going to have. Stock, or spacers, is right out IMHO. Personally I wouldn't use lighter-rate springs intended for ride quality or for max flex. Mid-rate springs like AEV, Clayton, etc are likely to work well
