So first everybody said you couldn't get the factory power leather seats on anything but the 'X' models. Then last week, the factory power leather seats became an option on the Jeep build website on regular Rubicons and Mojaves.

So I put an order in for a non-X Rubicon with leather seats and the standard soft top. The dealer is now telling me they won't let me order leather seats without getting the hard top (I can't even get dual tops).

Is this true?

If you do not want the hard top then that sucks. But other than that just buy a soft top.

Also check another dealer, might be trying to inflate the price or worrying about warranty on seats.

I never considered the soft top... too loud for me and it's 100 degrees for like 2/3of the year here. I see that you have two options if the dealer can't spec a JT for you that way:

1) Buy the hard top, get factory leather, sell the hard top or trade plus cash

2) Get the soft top, get katzkin or PRP replacement seat covers

After seeing reviews, I'd probably go option 2.
