Well glad that you found something that should work out for you. Dang I might need to "bootleg" trailers out to your state. :giggle: I'm lucky enough to have a few companies near by that build trailers to order close by. One 5.8 miles from my place and 3-4 or more within 40 miles.
ha yeah man its a untapped situation out here - cheaper but good quality that is. Everything is so expensive and there is a massive lack of people who actually do things. The whole state is turning into just one big vacation spot with premium cost for so so quality stuff/work. Problem is its a fight to get anyone competent to do stuff. I literally can not find any contractors willing to come out to my area to even install a stove. Not even deliver it. Its pure insanity. So a couple of cheaper trailers that are licensed would sell like crazy especially seeing the crap people put up for 3 times what they should be.

Hmmm might be a calling for me. ? ? :like: but I'd have to wait for warmer weather there to a run. You'll get some damn cold weather there.... I still remember spending new years eve/ day on continental divide of 1987-88 there.... freezing my young ass off with the Army. ? By the way do you know that's where the Army had one of the training and testing areas at? Though I did enjoy some good times in Helen MT too. Back then if you was A.D. military you could buy alcohol and drink.

I did some work with group in wyoming and we all got smashed good one evening. good bonding for sure. Theres some big trainings in eastern wa too. And other hidden getaways.

the trailer was delivered today. The shipping company was easy to coordinate with. Although shippjng damage never ceases to amaze me. It was dark when they arrived and I was already late for work so some quick inspections showed some damage to the paint (er rather powder coat) but that was easy to repair so I called it good.

It absolutely amazes me the level of ’dont give a $h!&’ people have these days in regard to their care and quality. The powder coat was damaged all throughout. portions of the trailer also didnt even get coated at all. But thats to be expected these days it seems. For one, it was cheap by covid days standards, and two, it was shipped. Its honestly pretty hard to get a bunch of bulky steel to not rub against itself. And its a utility trailer, so its somewhat expected to look bad. Maybe I demand perfection too much but its not hard to take extra precautions With things. People are simply lazy these days. rant over

So there is some bent metal that the sides bolt to. At first I thought it happened during shipping - to be expected but still irritating. Well after bending the steel back in place the powder coat flaked off like crazy. Obviously it was damaged during manufacturer and powdercosted like that. I realize this only because the coating was not even cracked in Its bent form. Theres a couple nuts and bolts already missing as well. And the wiring for the lights is smashed and cut up so that needs repairs also. It also is not as advertised size wise so it will be interesting getting plywood to stay in it.

But reminding myself its for hauling lumber, rocks, and firewood, its going to get rough quick anyway.

On the positive side, it looks easy to put together, is the same track width as the Gladiator, and is a nice little utility trailer that came in at 3,500 bucks cheaper than any other option I could find including private sales. We will see how it holds up over time

Did I say I hate powdercost? For anything other than aluminum or stainless its the absolute worst possible option for metal protection.
