Compass & GPS Navigation

Has anyone experienced an issue with their compass being 90-180 degrees off and the navigation showing you in a completely different location than where you are. I was driving my Gladiator and noticed the compass was showing incorrectly and when I checked the navigation I was travelling on no roads, through lakes and rivers and I'm 120-200km from where I actually am.

If anyone has suggestions or experienced this before, I would like to see if I can fix this before I call a dealership for an appointment.

I have the 8.4 Uconnect. About half-way through a 400 mile trip, the Nav system was showing me a few miles west of my actual location. It eventually corrected, but I don't remember the compass ever being off. That was a few months after I first got the truck. Since then, I have switched to using Google Maps and Android Auto.

I don't have any of the Jeep GPS system but I have seen GPS totally off on location, direction and speed. I have some interesting pictures I snapped of GPS showing my LJ traveling at 700 mph plus and crossing a river over 15 miles from where I was.

Not bad a little wind buffeting can't hear the radio


The reason I don't trust GPS. A map and compass plus a few certain stars to navigate with.
