Cracked paint diy fix?

Does anybody have suggestions on how to seal a dent with cracked paint? I’m not as worried about looks as I am protecting the body. The spot is under the driver rear door from a mean stump on the trail.

Well,whatvI would do is get it pulled out. Then have it painted. That gap is rather wide . Is there a way to knock it out from the inside ? I aint sure just tossing out thoughts here
