Hi all, new member here! In Northern Va!

2023 JTR. I parked in my driveway earlier and when I got out I heard this clinking sound coming from the rear driver’s wheel/brake. The engine was off and this noise went on for over a minute. See attached video…

My driveway is on an incline and the Jeep actually started sliding down the driveway about an inch (it’s wet but no ice or snow under the tires). I had the e-brake pulled all the way up. Guessing it’s an e-brake issue but have no idea really.

Anyone know what the heck is going on here? It sounds like a marching band lol!

Thanks in advance! James

I see what looks like snow, gonna guess that this is just noise from hot parts as they cool in a cold environment. Ticking from the brakes in the winter is not an uncommon noise in my experience. Sounds like its getting some nice resonance from the axle or wheel.

Exhaust will do this as well.

Also, did you put it in park and let it settle before engaging the brake or the other way around?
