Hi all,

First, thanks for reading! I have a 2022 Gladiator Overland soft top and have an issue that I can't seem to figure out. Whenever the windows are down or the doors are off or any combination of anything (except the soft top being "rolled back"), there appears to be a metal on metal noise coming from the soft top. It appears to be coming from either the first or second "bow" where the soft top seams to get "pushed up" from the wind and then slam back down into the bow, making what appears to be a noise as if to wrenches are thrown in a box.

I can't pinpoint exactly what the noise is, aside from the fact that I can put upward pressure on the soft top material (not the bow itself, but the actual cloth) and it doesn't do it.

Any one have any ideas here? It's driving me insane!

I can try and get a video, but, it's rather challenging at times to try and get.

Thank you.

Here’s a video - just stationary in the garage. You can hear the metallic noise a bit, but, when driving, the noise is so much more distinct.

Are you using the Velcro straps on the frame?

Mine does this too.. but it doesn't seem to do it at speed, only over choppy bumps.

Mine is really noticeable if the windows are down and a large semi-truck passes in the oncoming traffic lane.

Does your top balloon up at highway speeds?
Yes, it would appear, and then as soon as "wind" or a quick "pressure" difference comes in the cab and the stop top slams down, is when you get the metal on metal noise.

Mine BARELY moves up with the windows down at highway speeds. May be the nature of the beast.
Do you run with the HVAC in re-circ or fresh?

Never use AC, windows are always down or doors are off.

Went and checked mine and it is not as loose as yours . Find a good dealer and have it replaced under warranty .
