Hey all, I have searched and can't find much on this specific scenario.
I have been in and out of the dealer a lot and at this point, I don't want to go back and have this sit there for weeks on end again. Hoping someone here has an idea.
I am getting a loud creaking noise at low-speed turns and can replicate it by having the car in park, applying the brake, and turning the wheel left or right.
The noise does not occur if I do not apply the brake while parked.
Does anyone have any idea what would be creaking loudly while in park, applying break, and turning the wheel?
This vehicle has been at the dealer for 6 months of its first 2 years. I am not taking it back to them if someone here has a good idea.
The engine of this vehicle was replaced at 3k miles. 18k on it now. I had the car into the dealer recently for this squeak and they seemed to have fixed it by saying the "cross member was somehow 1" off". No idea how that could even happen, even after the engine swap But the noise is
coming from right there. It seemed fixed for a few days but now appears to be back.
Video here while turning wheel and applying the brake. Sounds like flexing...
