People ask me a lot how I think these Harbor Freight lights compare, so I figured I'd just show you via video since that answers all the questions. Hopefully it's helpful to at least somebody.

Thanks for posting this ... am in the midst of doing a bunch of initial mods on my new JTR, and was literally just looking at light cubes for the bumper about to order. I'm really glad that the normal sources are all "temporarily out of stock" for the light cubes with wiring harnesses, otherwise I would have already spent the bigger bucks for Rigid. The times that I will have for using these lights will be very infrequent, but non-zero, so a lower investment makes sense.

Historically the expression "everything you buy from Harbor Freight eventually becomes a hammer" has been true, but they've been upping the game in a lot of areas. At $84 for a pair of the Roadshocks from HF, this is great! Now all I'll need to do is figure out the wiring for doing this.

Thanks again for the video comparison!

That's another great thing about the Roadshock lights. They come with standard Deutsch style connections. So my existing wiring for Rigids works with Roadshocks too.

You may still need to buy the wiring kit, which is pretty inexpensive as well. $25 bucks I think. If you have the Aux switches in your Jeep, you won't need the relay or switch from the wiring kit. Just cut that part of the wiring kit out, and wire the Deutsch connectors to the Aux switch wiring directly. Aux 3 or Aux 4 will work great, both are 15 amp.
