Absolutely love this cover! 400lbs static weight, 900lbs dynamic. Folds in panels and only requires 4 clamps to secure the panel next to the cabin. Will grab some more photos soon!

Let me know if you have any questions!

This looks awesome! I’ve been looking at this the last couple of days but it’s to new and not a lot of info or reviews out there. I like the clean look! Looks pretty tight and secure. Did you have to use any shims on this one like you do on other models?

How’s the space on the inside vertical wise? I ask this because I’ve looked at other tonneaus and they won’t fit a cooler that I have. Cooler is 17 1/8 inches. if you have time to measure it that would be awesome. Thanks!

here you are my friend! Check this out!
No shims at all, four simple clamps that you ratchet to 5-6lbs.. really not too much at all.. (I do not have a trail rail.) Your cooler is gonna fit with this bad boy on!

Thanks a lot you are a big help. Taking a trip at the end of July so I need to order something quick and this just might be the one! Heading to Florida so let’s hope this holds up for leaks with the daily showers that pop up there!

Can you easily remove it if you need the full length of the bed?

Purchasing a Gladiator Rubicon and need a bed cover that can be locked and water tight (and coming from a Avalanche 22.5 bed height), thinking the Diamond back gives a little more height)

Yes. I dont have the switchback version personally, but they all can be easily removed. The switchback to my understanding is even slighty easier than the HD/SE models to remove and those aren't hard. I actually removed mine this weekend after giving my truck a thorough cleaning from a recent trip to Ocala National Forest getting sand in ever creavise imaginable. Although the cover did its job as usual.

The hardest part on the SE/HD versions is the middle section which connects the other two since it clamps down. You have to remove the clamps if you want that off. But I rarely do. The switchback doesnt have that middle piece, but does still clamp down on the last piece towards the cab which the other panels sit on.

Absolutely! There are four bolts holding c clamps to the panel and your truck bed. You would need to use a socket wrench, or just a normal wrench. You could have it off in less than five minutes, easy!

Thanks. I was thinking the switchback would work better for our use. I think the 3rd panel by the cab clamps on so that would give me 2/3 of the bed free folded up before I need to remove it. With the Avalance, I had 3 panels and usually the tailgate or tailgate and mid panel were enough space (though this weekend had all 3 off).

Camped in the Ocala National Forest a few times. 45 min from where I am. Great looking truck.

In that case, I agree.

And thanks

I'm a big Diamondback fan. I just ordered the Switchback for my 24 Silverado 2500HD which will make the 7th or 8th Diamondback in my company fleet. I personally have run the 270 and the SE on my truck and now the Switchback soon. Some of my other trucks have the 270 and the SE on them.

Aside from Diamondback, I've had probably 5-6 other different brands of covers over my 34 years of owning trucks. For me, Diamondback is unparalleled (although arguably I haven't tried them all). No bed cover is perfect, but Diamondback is as close to it as I can get for me.

What I look for in a tonneau cover that Diamonback meets or exceeds:
1. Durable
2. Ease of use day to day
3. Easily removed (relative to other covers)
4. Secure (This is a big one for me because tools)
5. Keeps the bed dry. (Diamondback does this better than any cover I've ever owned)

They aren't for everyone however due to the price but if you're looking for something that can check all the boxes I listed above, I think Diamondback is the one.

Still loving this thing. Also just received their new straps that work just for this Incase I need to put anything on the top. No shims needed, just four C clamps that hold it down close to the cabin. Only negative so far is a squeaking noise it makes somewhere that I can notice when my top is off. I haven’t quite tracked it down yet.

Alright perfect, going to get one. Thanks for that. I just wasnt sure with the SE, I was somewhere recently where i think lifting the back of the cover up would be a problem in height restricted places. Made me think about it, and then i saw the switchback, really what i want is a bulletproof tri fold. Think this is it.
