I have a 21 Rubicon Diesel and looking for advice on following.
Background-
-Drive style- daily driver, some summer towing of 2500 lb opus pop up camper, stock feel and mileage is important, no need for lift.
-AEV Wheels- want a look change and like the Borahs but worried about the 10 lb weight increase over pintlers or salta XRs. Gallery of options at bottom
-Tires- Live in colorado mtns and wanted another Falken AT3 for good snow traction but the Toyo AT3s seem less weight and have good reviews.
- Cost- everything seems expensive but $3K range all in feels right target.

Questions- what path would you choose?

1. Best Looks- Borahs 40 lbs + Toyo AT3- 35x11.5R17 C = 9" (61 lbs)= 101 lbs. Cost $4270
2. Ensure performance- Salta XRs 30lbs + Toyo AT3 35x12.5R17 C = 9.8" (59 lbs)= 89 lbs. Cost $3585
3. Concerns on 35s- Watched this video and guy swears 35s are massive rip off and he suggests 295/70R 18. Cost $3345
Should I take his advice and pair Salta XR with Toyo in that size? Visually is there that much difference on that tire size from the 35s. Cost seems similar so not sure
if his points are even still valid?.

Probably over thinking it but its $s so figure I would ask the experts.

I also created this Pinterest of the Borahs and other options

🤷‍♂️ wheels, XR’s look nice

Tires- have you considered Patagonia XT’s? Save some cash and maybe a couple lbs. wear has been great, durability, noise and performance is way better than I expected an all terrain….

In terms of size….. your splitting hairs. Whatever is cheaper, later you will likely wish you went to 37’s anyway ;) :) You drive a diesel….
