I wouldn't do either of the tires you mentioned. If you are staying stock tire size, I'd do the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They are only 43 lb. and will give you the aggressive looking all-terrain tire you are desiring. They are good in all conditions. Sort of a hybrid tire. And if you are sticking with the factory size tire, why are you buying 5? Just keep the factory tire underneath the bed as your spare and save yourself the added expense of another tire. Who cares if it doesn't match the other 4 as long as it's the same size. It's only meant to be there in the event you have a flat. IMO, it's too much of a PIA to drop the spare down and incorporate into your tire rotation and if I'm not mistaken, the wheel on the spare might just be a cheap steel wheel.
Don't buy 5. The spare is a 17"

285 75 18 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Rubicon shocks and springs. Need to add a leveling kit. Sits 1.5 inches lower in the front. Tires are pretty quiet. A little hum noise on the highway. Have not had a chance to recalibrate the speedo yet. Speedo reads 60 mph GPS will bounce between 63&64. Doesn't take much of a hill for it to shift down from 8th to 7th gear. Fuel mileage dropped by about 2 mpg. I'll report back after I get the speedo recalibrated. Just a note I got the updated steering gear installed before I changed the tires or suspension.

Does the Overland have an 18" spare? Is it a basic steelie? Anyone know the MOPAR part number?

I'm guessing this would also be the same if there is a Sahara Steelie winter tire.

Been reading this forum a while trying to decide on wheel and tire combo for my Overland with stock suspension, thought I would post pics now that I have made the purchase.

There are a lot of combinations on here and I appreciate all the comments. I've tried to narrow it down a little and see if I'm correct.

275/65/18
285/75/18
295/70/18

All seems to have put on stock (maybe new wheels) without any problem. Am I correct? Does anyone of any experience with these (good or bad)?

34/12.5/18
35/12.5/18

These seem about the same size, has anyone have any knowledge of these as well? Did you use stock wheels or new ones?

Brand, size and pictures would be helpful.

Just trying to get it narrowed down for people still confused (like me, lol).

This is a great config 275/65R18 AT. Most likely my direction. Maybe with the BFG KO's

I did see someone on this forum already put a set up for sale coming off their JT Rubi. But, my concern would be clearance. Isn't the Rubi suspension modified for the 33's? Concerning would be tire to fender grinding even on the smallest off-road obstacles lol.
I have installed the rubicon takeoff wheels and there is no clearance issues.

What PSI do you run those? I just picked up the same.

Bro you and I need to talk more. lol. That's the set up/look I'm going for. I'm assuming your suspension is still stock correct? If so any rubbing issues? Do you plan on doing anything to the suspension if so?

I'm looking at the same set up but don't want to anything suspension wise other maybe a leveling kit. And even that would be more for aesthetics than function.

Did you ever get your speedo recalibrated? Mine is only off my 1 mph but I’m having the same problem with 8th to 7th only the smallest incline. Having a tough time recalibrating to get it right. Also when I measure the diameter of the tire it’s smaller by an inch than what the specs of the tire show.

Considering I love the Overland wheel and plan on keeping for awhile. May even get an extra Overland wheel for a spare. But probably about to pull the trigger on these soon. Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 275/70/18

thoughts?

I just did the Cooper Discoverer ATP 275/70/18 on my JTO and love them. Very quiet, good grip, and I like the sidewall better than the AT3. Speedo was off about 3 MPH at 70, but I corrected that with JScan and now it's on the money using the 33.25" size in the app.

Not heard much about that ATP version. I actually like to sidewall of the AT3 XLTs. Looks good though and good to get another visual of that exact size in comparison.

I’ve heard Cooper in general are much more quieter especially the XLTs than BFG K02s which I was also considering. Regardless I’ll probably recalibrate the odometer with a taser soon after.
