My overland has the Rubicon suspension(shocks/springs) and 1.5" teraflex leveling kit.
I spoke to Teraflex and they mention if I am just doing the 1.5" , no need to change anything else, but they definitively recommended their shocks. Many rubicon owners have the same setup as mine, but they have the wider axles and higher gears too.
It drives very straight - the steering wonder still there just a bit less since is on 35s.
I haven't done any real-off road, only light trails so I can't comment on the bars.
I think this setup is probably the max the overlander will handle ok without getting more big boy upgrades. Also, I know that I will take a hit on MPG, brakes and other components getting worn out quicker, but I am ok with that because I will enjoy this setup better then stock(nothing wrong with it).
Cheers!
I bet they did. :CWL: They used to use Fox shocks in all their lifts, and be partnered with Fox, but they decided to do their own thing, so now they’re a direct competitor. Why wouldn’t they want you to remove Fox shocks to put on TeraFlex shocks... ;)

The only comparison that I personally have on other 35s, are the nito graplers m/t on my old tundra.
The kenda's are much quieter on the road than the nito, but a bit more noiser then the falken 285/70 A/T aw3.

They stick out about 1/2-3/4" without rubbing. My overland has rubicon take off, springs, shocks and a 1.5" teraflex leveling lift. At a level ground it measures ~ 42"(front and back) to the black plastic edge of the fender.
I am considering wheel spacers 1.75" for the "look" while I get new wider wheels.

I'm looking at the specs and min width for the tour is 8.5. how were you able to fit the stock wheels on it.

I am aware of the 8.5 as many other tires have these specs.
Many jeep owners have similar tires on 7.5 wheels- search the forum around. I don’t want to start debate...
This setup works for me at this time and will go to 9.5” wheels later on.
Cheers!

Thinking about changing my wheels to a KMC 17x9 with the grapplers 285/75

Does anyone now how this effects the factory warranty?

Thanks for the help!

After much research, I decided to go with BFG KO2’s at 275/70 with the OEM overland wheels. They are about an 1” taller and 0.8” wider than the 255/70s that came with the Jeep. I have always had the KO2’s on other vehicles and I love them. Price and availability also seems much better than the larger sizes with the 18” rim.

275/65/R18 General Tires AT/x with the overland original rims!

Ride is a bit harsher than the factory tires certainly due to the fact that they have thicker side walls but it's not noisier.

Do you guys stick to 38 psi with 275 wide tires ? It looks like the bottom of the tire is flattening too much.

That’s what I’m running and very happy with the decision. I chose the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 because of great personal experience with the Revo and Revo 2 and they are light. They only come in E load in that size and they are 50 lbs/tire. Looks so much better than stock and it really does ride and track better.

I put on a new set of Method Race Wheels and BFG KM3s in 295/70R17 today. They look really sweet! Nice and aggressive. I had KM2s on my JKU and they were great tires.

275/70/18. It’s an over sized 33. It’s 33.4” iirc.
Gotcha/thanks. Swapping at the all season tires from the factory next week - still trying to decide on size and brand. Does $250 per tire at this size sound about right?

I'm going with the Yoko Geolandar G003's in 305/70R18 on the stock Overland wheels. Getting them installed Thursday or Friday this week. Shoot me a reminder this weekend and I can send you some pictures.
Pics?

Yeah, that’s right at what I paid. Discount Tire and Tire Rack were the exact same price.
