I installed the DD Elite series headlights. I noticed the other day while waiting in a parking lot for food that when turning the headlight switch to off the halos on the headlights stay on. I even went into the settings on the radio and turned the DRL to off. The halos are still on, I can't turn them off at all. Is this normal or can the headlights be programmed so that the halos go off when the switch is off?

Good morning Willys502,
Please go to the DD website and download the install instructions for your 2021 Gladiator. You will find the programming instructions there. The Elite and Elite Max(I have the Maxs installed on my 2022 Willys) cannot be set up via the from the center touch screen.

Here is the link: https://www.diodedynamics.com/blog/...dlights-for-jeep-jl-wrangler-and-jt-gladiator.

It is best if you position your Willys so you can see the reflection of the headlights so you can see what mode the headlights are showing.

Let me know if you need further assistance……….

Thanks for the response! I'll give this a try and see what I can come up with.

Yeah I have one halo DRL (driver's side) that white as it should be, but the passenger side DRL halo is orange.

I've disconnected the battery and disconnected both headlights with no change; otherwise they operate as intended/desired

I would contact DD, if they are open this week, and let know about your DRL issue. Very odd that those headlights DRLs would be out of sync.

No dice. The only options for the non max are white/amber halos or white/amber halos welcome sequence. No option to completely turn off the halos.

I re-read the non max instructions and see that the non max DRLs cannot be turned off. My apologies, I should have been more through. I would still recommend you contacting DD Customer support as they may have a work around to disengage the DRL function.
