Having owned the sports, pros and max, I highly recommend the pros.

The Max have very good light saturation and density, but also have a very distinct cut off. In my experience the difference in visibility between the Pro and Max is hard to tell. The spread however is not.

The Pros have a more diffuse cutoff which in turn puts more light on more of the road in front of you. If they're aimed properly there should be no issue with DOT laws. I cant say if you would get flashed more often with the extra light spread because I got flashed with both the Pros and the Max, I believe that is primarily due to choosing the yellow fogs, which clearly stand out as aftermarket.

I will add the Pros have more reflection off the road and do in turn have a higher visibly cutoff when driving. This isn't apparent when you aim them at install but can be seen at night quite easily.

Basically, the Pros cost less, visibly cover more surface area, but are not as dense or bright and may or may not result in the same or less flashing from other drivers.

Save the extra couple hundred.

One more vote for the SS3 Max - I upgraded my fogs with the selective yellow (I think that is the DD designation) just before a winter trip to the mountains. They were fantastic. I liked them so much I recently added the SS3 Max PODs on my A-Pillar.

@Diode Dynamics Any updates on the Max Lazer series that were presented at SEMA '22? The news seems to have disappeared since then.
All components are here but the project priority has been shifted as 45+ new products are launching in 2024 requiring all efforts by each department at this time.
