These things are really good. I'm impressed how cool they run and put them through the paces over a couple hours or so last night. At the end of the run, they were only slightly warm to the touch (of metal housing). The mounts were stable, and the light was about what I expected. So, they are mounted...I need to aim them tonight, but generally happy with how it turned out. It has a very minimalist look, which I prefer.
I really don't see it being an issue with just a single bolt on the 20mm delrin spacers...but gonna go bouncing around a bit and will report back.
Oh, and I decided on the AUX 3 position. It's one of two lower draw switches, and felt easier to reach. The way this particular setup is wired, it doesn't matter if the draw is higher -- it's setup to draw directly from the battery.
They were easy enough to aim, and decided to aim the driving lights a bit higher than normal headlight beams to start (aimed them against a wall on a level surface). This is obviously off-road only. The coverage is great, but it is completely blinding to any oncoming traffic (really even during the day if you look directly at them).
From memory, they put out a bit better pattern for driving than my Rigid Pods ( those are four LED elements each). The horizontal layout of these six inch lights (with six LEDs) in combination with my very warm (orange!) halogens make for a nice driving experience. It is funny just how orange my headlights and fog lights appear when the driving lights are on. For now, I'll run that combo but based on my past, I will replace all the factory lights at some point...
