So, they are mounted...I need to aim them tonight, but generally happy with how it turned out. It has a very minimalist look, which I prefer.

I really don't see it being an issue with just a single bolt on the 20mm delrin spacers...but gonna go bouncing around a bit and will report back. ;)

Oh, and I decided on the AUX 3 position. It's one of two lower draw switches, and felt easier to reach. The way this particular setup is wired, it doesn't matter if the draw is higher -- it's setup to draw directly from the battery.
These things are really good. I'm impressed how cool they run and put them through the paces over a couple hours or so last night. At the end of the run, they were only slightly warm to the touch (of metal housing). The mounts were stable, and the light was about what I expected.

They were easy enough to aim, and decided to aim the driving lights a bit higher than normal headlight beams to start (aimed them against a wall on a level surface). This is obviously off-road only. The coverage is great, but it is completely blinding to any oncoming traffic (really even during the day if you look directly at them).

From memory, they put out a bit better pattern for driving than my Rigid Pods ( those are four LED elements each). The horizontal layout of these six inch lights (with six LEDs) in combination with my very warm (orange!) halogens make for a nice driving experience. It is funny just how orange my headlights and fog lights appear when the driving lights are on. For now, I'll run that combo but based on my past, I will replace all the factory lights at some point...

Ordered another set of SSC1s to piggy back with my rear facing rack lights. I will mount them forward facing off from my ditch lights. I will have to build the wiring harness for them; easy work.

- Rear Pods are backlit red (driving lights) Already installed and operational
- Front Pods will be backlit Amber/orange (park lights) pending
- I will have both sets on the same circuit on my AuxBeam 8 gang with flasher mode (safety/visability)

oh.......and I bit the bullet with the 4th sale and got the Elite headlights

Oh nice...I'm torn...can't wait to hear what ya think of the Elite headlights. I was also thinking I could just pick up a pair of take-off OEM units when they pop up.

Here’s a photo of the mounted driving lights. I’ve since played with aiming them more outboard (say 10 deg off center) and think I prefer that. Great pattern and coverage and this has made a big difference in night driving in the rural desert. The single bolt mounts are very stable and I can recommend this setup. The only key is getting the longer bolts and the spacers.

You can see I’m still running the halogen headlights, but not for long! I’m buying Minty JL’s LED units! The current headlamps are completely overwhelmed by the driving lights, so I’m looking forward to getting a bit more forward headlight beam from those OEM LED units.

Special thanks to @Minty JL for the hookup with the OEM LED headlights and fast shipping.

These only took a few minutes to install. The longest part was figuring out how to get the halo "signature" enabled with Jscan. Works great! Now I just need some LED fender lights and think I may go the Rugged Ridge route if I can't find some OEM units...

Anytime!

Fender chop time, I went with this kit: https://www.infiniteoffroad.com/product-page/jl-jt-rubicon-fender-chop-brace-w-led-drl-turn

Great price and warranty. If your methodical and have the right tools, you can install the kit w/o removing the fenders

Can't speak to the RR kit, I chose the Infinite kit again based on the price point and warranty.

So far I'm more the pleased with the kit, hence the reason I recommend it.
