What software is that? I've been struggling to find something simple to use to design my kitchen with. I made a fridge slide out and battery storage but it's just a tub basically. The kitchen side I want to be a bit more precise with it's individual functions. I have a griddle and want a sink like that too. Currently I have one but it's just a collapsing basin. No drain and faucet.

Good work!
I had previous experience with Autodesk Inventor and Catia so I wanted something similar that didn’t require $7k or Pirate Bay. I used Shapr3d for IPad. I used the free version, which limits you to 2 projects, doesn’t allow textures or a lot of other features. For getting the dimensions and basic design it was enough. The pro version is $299/year. It works really well with Apple Pencil.

I'll take a look thanks, yea I found something to design my son's room a year ago or so on iPad and once I got real world units to show up in Google Sketchup but I can't seem to get that going again. I'd prefer something on Mac or PC but it's crazy how hard it is to find simple modeling tools. I'm about ready to use some draft paper lol. What is that!?

Edit: I see now that you said it towards the end, I tried not to be that guy that can't read, but failed.

I believe Shapr3d works on MacOS and Windows too.

I also shaped the catch block in the back so it won’t catch on my recovery bag or anything else. I’m still amazed how simple this is and how well it works.

Got around to adding a mount for the cutting board that fits over the sink on the slide out. Maybe with better planning I could have figured out a way to store it in the slide out itself or made it to fit vertically in the bed. This works fine and it’s out of the way above the fridge which is basically wasted space, anyway. The fridge slides out with it in place. You could use the same concept for any cutting board or maybe a table. It’s held in tension by the passenger side bracket. The bracket is just $26 of Z channel, M6 rivnuts and some M6 button head screws.

I added T-track so I could mount Railblaza kayak accessories for cups, cooking items and fishing stuff like filet knives.

I also got a chance to test this out at the beach and camping. It’s a total game changer for cooking, cleanup and fishing.

I also can’t say enough good things about the NATO can pump and sink setup. It worked flawlessly. After disconnects it would reprime itself in seconds since the pump is in the can. I only used this water for drinking and cooking and the water port water for washing dishes so I only used about 1/2 of the can in 4 days in OI. I forgot to open the vent in the can so it got deformed by the vacuum but after opening the vent the can took its old shape. I had zero leaks. Whether you’re running a pump setup like mine, using a battery operated pump like they sell on Amazon
(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YQXTLCZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) or just carrying water, these NATO can are the way to go. They’re indestructible, cheap, and easy to clean and inspect.

The can rides on top of the Diamondback and I just coil up the hose/cable when not in use. I connect these two quick connects and I’m ready to use my sink in < 1 minute.

Probably less being on the spectrum and more that I tend to build stuff and post about it when I’m high AF.

I hope I did not offend you. I was just using the movie quote as a way to say you have mad skills both in design and building. I have really enjoyed this thread and hope to steal most if not all of your design.

You didn’t offend me at all! ?

p.s. Apple’s horrifying autocorrect does offend me. How does it get “attend” from “offend.” ?

The first of maybe two or three walls. Shit is starting to get tight in here. This is one of those it’s so dumb it’s genius kind of things. This is just a piece of 1/4 HDPE plastic bolted to the PowerTank cage handle using the bolt that holds its grip in place. This encloses an otherwise useless bit of space and keeps stuff from falling out into the path of the fridge. I added some vent cuts to line up with the vents on the fridge and a fabricated an aluminum bracket that connects it to the side molle rack. Believe it or not I’ve never had issues with the fridge generating too much heat in the enclosed bed.

This is the first iteration of this but it’s too short and stuff would slide out behind it in the way of the fridge but it shows how the bolt threads into the PowerTank handle.
Jeep Gladiator DIY Slide Out w/ Sink IMG_3494

Version 2 (I’ve got a lot of scrap HDPE)
Jeep Gladiator DIY Slide Out w/ Sink IMG_3779

There’s quite a lot of space here for sand stakes, tools, awning parts, etc. I’d really like to say this is dumb. It’s a weird idea. But the PowerTank just sits there and I’m always shoving stuff in this space only to have it slide all over. This contains it without straps or bags, etc. It made things a lot easier on the last trip.
Jeep Gladiator DIY Slide Out w/ Sink IMG_3780

I also added another hole to the fridge “slider” so it can sit farther aft and make room for my increasing collection of recovery gear behind the fridge.

I’m probably going to add a wall between the fridge and the main slide out mainly to make a place to mount the chainsaw behind the fridge. I’m thinking a Kydex scabbard. I may make a third mini wall on the other side of slide out because there’s some void space on that side too I can use to store stuff like folding solar panels, etc. This area is starting to remind me of a fire truck or medic unit with a specific place for everything and no wasted space.

Dedicated to my Uncle Ash….

Jeep Gladiator DIY Slide Out w/ Sink 1713484446506-dm

This is the first cut of a center wall. It still needs some cleanup and I may cut out the center of the aft section just to remove some weight. It’s isolated from the slider and the Diamondback with rubber bushings. You can pound on it and you don’t feel it in the truck. It can be removed for access to the Hi-Lift with 5 or 6 M8 knobs. I need to 3d print a knob wrench

Jeep Gladiator DIY Slide Out w/ Sink IMG_3795

The chainsaw mount: First, if you have this Dewalt, you need to fix the leaking bar oil tank with RTV before putting this anywhere other than in a plastic bag. I didn’t want to leave the saw around camp without its blade cover so this Kydex scabbard goes around the cover.
Jeep Gladiator DIY Slide Out w/ Sink IMG_3832

I modified the factory blade cover so that it stays on when you pull it out of the scabbard. The shock cord stays well out of the way when the cover is off.
Jeep Gladiator DIY Slide Out w/ Sink IMG_3814

All in place behind the fridge. Space is at a premium here. The Deadman fits above the Hi-Lift through a cutout in the wall. It can be removed with the wall in place.
