There is a local craigslist ad listing Rubicon gladiator rims with MT’s with 9 inch rims. I always thought the widest these rims came were 7 1/2 inches?

Did they make these rims in a 9 inch wide version?

Those are the exact same wheels and tires that came on my JTR. They are not 9" wide.

Either a typo - OR, ya suppose he stuck a tape measure between the "spokes" and measured outside to outside? Or guesses because the tires look so wide?

I asked him the width and he said 9” sounds like he’s misinformed

That was my thought at first ... which is why I asked him the width, I asked are they 7.5 or 9... he said 9.

They are def stock jeep wheels... they have the little red jeep Easter egg on them

If the 7.5 is wrong, the question is has any rubicon wheel ever came 9” wide?

9" Wide wheels have never been available on any Rubicon since the first one was produced in 2003, as far as I know. 17x9 Rubicon Extreme wheels from Quadratec is what I run on mine. Silver still on sale for $99.

that’s what I thought... nothing larger than the 7.5.

i wish they would offer wider tires in the future we you could go with most larger >35” brands. Your wheels are a steal at 99, I’m usually not a fan of silver wheels (like stock sports) but yours look good!

I wish they would too. I always loved the original Rubicon Moab wheels. Had some on my old TJ for awhile. The width and backspacing is why I got rid of them.
I ran JL Rubi wheels on my JK with 35's. I had to add 1.5" wheel spacers to keep them from rubbing the control arms. The same wheels and tires went on my JTR soon after I bought it. Thinking the slightly wider Rubi axles would keep them from rubbing. Nope. That's when I stumbled across the cheap Q-tec wheels. They do stick out a little though.
