There are some whose specs show they fit on 7.5 while there are some that do not but still can be mounted. It also depends on the garage that is mounting them some garages will, some will not. There are numerous threads on here that show 35's on stock rims.
This is a question I have as well. Do you happen to know which tires show specs that they fit on 7.5?

Is there any risk or issue with mounting a 35 that says 8.5 minimum? I'm not well versed, but just curious if it will wear poorly or have some other issue I'm not aware of. I really want to keep stock rims and go to 35's...just want to make sure I'm not going to have a headache down the road.

If you just start at page 1 of this thread you'll see some. Do an internet search for "jeep JL wrangler 35" tires on stock rims" and you'll get other results https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/35-inch-tires-on-stock-wheels.13389/ The Gladiator is based on the same platform as the Wrangler JL.

As for mounting it really depends on the tire shop you go to. Some will mount them, some won't.

How are they holding up? Are you happy with them? Seems like they’re the only option for 35x11.50xr17. Thanks!
mine are 35x12.5 but holding up great. I have used them for about 10k miles and a few trips rock crawling aired down to about 12 psi and they have performed flawlessly.

Looks like Nitto Trail Grapplers will fit a 7.5 inch rim, but you have to drop from an E rated to C rated tire.

What exact tire size? And is there is front and rear view to see how far they stick out?
This was phase 1 of my build and is no longer setup this way. But the tires were 35x12.5r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They don’t stick out at all, fully under the fenders with stock wheels.

I went with 37x12.50 on stock wheels. Had minor rub at full lock. Fix was cheap and easy.

I like the BFG KO2 in 315-70-17 rated C. Great ride and quiet. But,,,, the Wildpeeks are nice and paid for with no issues. The BFGs or any other 35 is close to 400 with tax and mounting, getting only 100 for the WP's. The price of aftermarket rims is just stupid now. If you want a stiff ride, just do an aftermarket lift. The words "sport" and "performance" mean stiff.

OK, I looked at the 315s next to mine and it's a done deal. Getting the BFG KO2s 315-70-17 C . soon for a little under $1500 for all four OTD. My Wild Peeks will be going to a good home.
