Do you like the stock 2025 Rubicon wheels?

I did not like the wheels when I first got it. I like the wheels on the Mojito Mojave a few posts above this better. But the Rubicon wheels did grow on me. But then I found a set of takeoffs that I had to have! What’s interesting is that despite how much more I’m in love with these extreme recon wheels, it’s arguable that the stock wheels picture better.

What is offset difference with extreme recon wheel / tires package? Curious how much further they stick out past the fender.

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 37” tires are approved for rims 8”-10”, so will work just fine on stock wheels. I run these tires on stock Rubicon wheels with and AEV dual sport lift that uses stock control arms without a problem. To keep from rubbing, I added two washers behind the steering stops.

Most lifts require a different wheel offset because if the shape of the front lower control arms. I usually do a more radical build so have had a lot of different aftermarket wheels, but I like the stock wheels best, which is why I went with the AEV lift.

That looks great! I’m hoping to do a lift next year. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the lift after a month or so.

If you’re interested, these are the fender flares I bought. I also bought a rivet gun for $16 from Harbor Freight and the install was perfect.
