Well the other day I was removing the mud mask from my Gladiator, it picked up while venturing from the pavement. I noticed my Toe bar had some grime on it that would not easily come off. Looked up and saw the stock drag link had a torn boot and was leaking grease. I thought about warranty, but with the action my rig sees I figured it was upgrade time. I went to Steer Smarts as I am absolutely happy with my track bar from them. I was a bit leary on having a pinch bar as my whole link. So eventually I ended up with the Rusty's Off Road piece. After installing it I am not to pumped. The threads for both joints were really ruff requiring significant wrench force to thread them on. (Yes I had anti sieze) The ball joints did not inspire confidence. They looked like an old-school design, not made in country. Since the threads were boogered it required getting my super huge wrench under the truck to set my steering wheel strait, there was no room and bad words filled the air. The tightening of the Jam nuts while on machine was also a riot. After the test drive all was strait, but the drag link was sagging at the passenger wheel, so we will see how that goes. Guess I should of went with my first choice. Much easier to set up and I bet it does not sag.

I would of went steer smart and jam nuts suck. If I can't adjust it on the jeep I'll buy one I can.

Here are some pictures of the Rusty's Drag link installed. The knuckle joint has a bad center.of gravity that forces it to rest in the sagged out position. The factory bar has a complex bend to avoid this. For the time being I do like the weight and the stiffness of the bar. It gives the steering a nice substantial feel. I will keep and eye on the ball joints. One think that was concerning stock, the passenger ball joint was loose and you could see fretting on the tapered fit. I would check your rigs.
