Apologies for sounding like an idiot, but I've never done the lift/big tires conversion. I've been lurking on these forums for months now, and I'm in awe of everything that everyone does to their jeeps and love seeing it.
I just ordered a 2022 JTR, and I currently have a 2013 JKU Sahara with stock wheels/tires. (just hit 60k miles). I plan on keeping the JKU and need to replace the tires soon. My goal was to upgrade the new JTR to 35" tires and put the stock JTR 33" on my JKU. Unfortunately, I just noticed that the JKU wheel size is 20" instead of 17" (like the 2022 JTR).
Dumb questions for all of you experts:
1. For the new JTR, which 35" tire would you recommend? I've read over and over that the JTR should not require a lift for a 35" tire; is that correct? I don't I have a need for a mud tire and would prefer all terrain, but I'd like the look of a beefy tire.
2. For the JKU, I was hoping to use the JTR 33" tire to minimize cost, but that doesn't seem possible. Recommendations on minimizing my costs?
