Jeep really makes incentives and pricing confusing. Compounding that with dealers that are not advertising "Dealer Adds" in listed prices. Then tack on the financing incentives w/ 6 months of payments.

Is there an advantage for one over the other? The wife through employment had an Affiliate number with FCA.

Everytime I give the number to the dealer it really doesn't do much to overall pricing. Its actually increased pricing on a few occasions.

Yes, it's confusing. These are the generally public offers:

When dealers advertise Employee Pricing, they're essentially offering nothing beyond factory rebates and incentives.

FCA Friends and Family is Dealer Invoice+$25 officially

Affiliate pricing is 1% below dealer invoice

What you need to do is ask to see the invoice which will show what the dealer is paying before ANY profit. They don't have to show you but you can take the VIN and use a third party website like CarsDirect

Expect dealer invoice+ 3-5% to be actual dealer cost with delivery to lot, prep, etc.

Ultimately, it comes down to how badly a dealer wants that Gladiator sold. Right now you're in a bad spot because they're selling well so the odds that the dealer can sell it to someone willing to spend more is high.

Everyone is offered employee price at the moment. At least in my area. I'm a FCA worker and my employee price was same as non employee. I just bought my gladiator last week

My advise is not to ask for any of these! None are as good as just targeting a discount of 7% off invoice. Let the dealer figure out how to get to that target.

What’s your best advice on how to do this for a vehicle on the lot? I’ve got an OTD quote ($39,500) on a Sport S with MSRP of $46,500 but it’s not in the color I want. I’m shopping around with that quote but no one else is getting close.

My best advice, if you really want a Gladiator right now, then don't worry about how great the deal is, just go get one and make sure the deal is good enough.

They are becoming popular and 2021 will be more expensive, not less.

Otherwise, I will DM you some tips.

If FCA offered you a discount on future purchase of a Gladiator is that over and above what discounts the Dealer is offering?

I would ask your salesman to "dealer trade" for the unit you want. Some dealers will so this to keep the sale and send the one in the color/options you don't want for the one you want that may be at another dealer.
