I ended up getting 30% off of sticker last year (see paperwork below). I attached the deal I got on a Red Freedom Edition pretty well loaded. I did the basic deal non of the 7K extras...

I expect something similar will happen this year but to be honest I have yet to see any deals like this in 2024 or really very close with maybe a few exceptions by people. I put this "red" deal in because they sold it before I pulled the trigger so I was forced to get an indentical (except for color) Granite Crystal one I picked up on 12/27/2023 and drove home 500 miles same deal.

IF you are serious about a killer deal, I'd be willing to drive a certain distance to get it. My limit was 500 miles. I also had my list of "required" options with the choosiest being the auto four wheel drive. What happened last year, was that for November, Jeep did a 15% off incentive for certain parts of the country but the key was that they also gave the dealers an incentive of some sort up if they did big mark ups. A few dealers matched the Jeep incentive and so 30% off the sticker.

I used CarGuru's primarily to do my hunting. Very quickly you will see the dealers that are truly dealing. I live in Montana and our dealers don't really deal...most of the time... But Idaho and Washington do. I got my Ram 2500 this way also during Covid in 2022. Not much of a deal but a killer trade in. Now an important part of the hunt is being able to see the Monroney's (window stickers). I have a website and I find it by searching on "Lancelhoff Jeep monroney by VIN." It comes up go down the page and there is a spot to paste in a VIN you get off the main page of Car Gurus and the sticker pops up. Some dealers have a link to the sticker but I find what I am doing is easier. I also look at reviews of the dealers I'm considering. Then I look at the Monroney and put it on a list. This Lancelhoff site will also pull up RAM and I imagine other Stellantis products in the same place you paste in the VIN...

I try to have a few K for a downpayment but leave that out until the end. If I have a trade, I also research that value carefully with Carvana and other website offers and including going down to my dealer and another dealer and seeing what they would offer as part of a "deal" even though I did not intend buying from them. I'm willing to give a bit on trade in as part of my strategy. Now, Stellantis/Jeep did some weird stuff last year. The incentives are zip code connected so one zip code might have the full incentive or it might have less. AND last year Jeep changed the amounts mid month for various zip codes. I got caught in that in that when I made my first November deal, I called in mid November to seal the deal and Jeep had changed it from 15% off to 10% for my zip code by where I live so, I had to wait until it came back in Mid December...

What Jeep was doing was fine tuning their sales. If the incentives were so good that the product was moving too quickly they fine tuned it by area... So, this is not something you can really just sort of scan and look at every week or so. You really need to stay up on things and look daily until you find something or decide next year...

But essentially, they started this end of year BIG incentives with the November 1st incentives. So, you start by identifying the vehicles you are interested in within your mileage range for purchase and searching on Car Gurus. They actually are surprisingly up to date like within 24-36 hours of changes at individual dealers. They get their data off of some national database that automatically updates their site.

OK, why such good deals at the end of the year. The dealer I went with said that both the manufacturers AND the dealers have some pretty big tax advantages to moving things before the end of the year. Sometimes even customers will have tax advantages like on the EV stuff. He said that there is really no big "business" type incentive to lower price after the end of the year until in like March/April generally speaking. He said, the Jeep 15% incentive was pretty good but what they were offering the dealers to match was a big part of the deal for him. So, I don't totally understand all that, but I sure got a killer deal and a decent trade in for my almost five year old Renegade... I pulled the trigger and do NOT regret it. So, start looking that first day of November when Jeep releases their new incentives.
