There is no "throttle" in this application, with the exception of variable restrictors that aid the EGR system in scavenging. As with any diesel-cycle engine, it consumes several times the volume of air as otto engine. For reasons, the OE design air box intake horn "boot" basically cuts-off much of what the engine needs to aspirate. See pic.
I think he's either thinking this is about gas/3.6 or isn't up on the diesel system - the "throttle" simply give it more fuel into the chambers.

Old diesels didn't consume several times the volume of air as the otto-cycle/gas/LP/kero engines.
They were naturally aspirated and pumped air just like anything else.

My apologies, I didn't realize this was in the diesel section.

I don't waiting on a forum member to show vids of it! Then if the sound difference is there I'd buy it!
Trying to figure out how to upload an iphone video onto here. My phone isnt great at picking up the intake sound though anyways.

Technically question, sort of, does anyone have any ideas for a quick disconnect feature for the air intake? I’ve been looking to see if something was already created for this but I haven’t found anything. Not sure why Jeep did away with that feature but I wish I could get it back. I may just try and make something myself but I would rather just buy something made for it already. Any suggestions??
