Though my post was sarcastic, here in TX they probably only need a red flag on it, or the red reflectors might have been enough. Weight rating of cargo might be the only other thing.

My beef was what you pointed out - just one strap? That baby let's go and out she comes.
Look at the rear tires just on the rear of the truck's deck - it's just itching to roll out.
And no red flag - it's got to be 2 to 3 feet out the back at least. Gotta have that flag, boys.
Weight rating is another possible issue.
And if they have exceeded the rating of those tires, that's a federal charge. (and that's a fact, I talked to troopers about that)

WA state, you know they can find other things on the books.
Iowa, it's whatever. Just tell them it's a tractor and you are taking it from your farm to your brother's farm, it will be ok.
