I know this is really old post but I am just wondering if after you cut off the resonator that has a brace that connects to the truck did anyone experience any problems relating to how the rest of the exhaust system is supported. In other words is everything else still nice and secure. Any regrets after removing it. I really want to do it but don’t want to screw up my truck. Thanks.

I chopped mine off about a year ago after the Rubicon smashed it up pretty good.
Zero regrets.
I started by leaving a side dump of sorts and left it just past the turn away from the spare about even with the frame rail.
Since then, I've removed my spare from underneath so decided to chop it even higher up.
I don't think the shorted length would be an issue with the spare as long as you leave the heat shield in place but just something to visualize while you're deciding on your angles (or add a tip to direct it away from the spare).
There is a hanger directly on the rearward side of the suitcase muffler so there isn't a ton of weight that isn't supported by a hanger. Was zero issue in either config.
