Install was straight forward and I didn't need to jack up my JT. I didn't have a Sawzall, so I had to use one of those pipe cutter deals (holy cow, my shoulders are sore).

Only issue, the 10" section of pipe between the first resonator and the muffler has a slight bend on both ends so the Cut Out goes on just a little wonky. I used two band clamps to hold the Cut Out in place.

As for the electrics, I used a Y-adaptor to tap into the cigarette lighter. Routed the control wire through the driver side drain hole and zip tied the wire along the frame rail. Switch hidden underneath the driver side knee panel. Super clean factory look.

If I had to do it again I would have taken it to a muffler shop and had them weld in the Cut Out. Sounds pretty good. It doesn't sound like full on straight pipe but it does sound like a decent aftermarket cat back exhaust for half the price. Also you can go back to OEM exhaust by just flipping a switch.

Here it is, UNEDITED...

As a daily driver there is a very subtle difference between Closed & Open. Maybe in the future I'll delete the first resonator just for kicks.

CLOSED

OPEN

Is about the same open or close and like you said "removing the first resonator in the future"
Thanks for the clip and all the trouble....?

Oddly enough, it sounds more significant in the cab.

Probably because the exhaust tip is to the inside / middle of the vehicle instead to side / outside or down my $0.02
